Marine

The work "Marine" is composed of three blown and cold worked glass elements. It was inspired by the seaforms, organic patterns and complexity of the seashells. I tried to explore the connection between shape, texture and colors, transforming the material into an ambiental-decorative object. Part of an artwork series inspired by the aquatic creatures, I created it in 2018 as a student of the National University of Arts, Glass Department from Bucharest, Romania. It was nominated in the same year for the Youth Prize by the Visual Artists’ Union of Romania (Bucharest) at the Glass Saloon (2018, Glass 30 edition)
