Turquoise Tango

Turquoise Tango is inspired by the American Tango, which is identified by its fluid movement that is interspersed with sudden starts and stops. Its juxtaposition of smooth, sweeping movements of lime and green are interrupted by sharp edged rectangles and squares, representing the tango’s gliding steps punctuated by sudden stops and starts. The combed center reminds the viewer of a colorful swirling skirt, and its striped feet the steady rhythm of the music that drives the dancers around the ballroom.
