Amber Ascent

Amber Ascent is cast using Gaffer casting glass, displayed with a steel stand. The genesis of this project came from my background in wood sculpture. I've been looking into different modeling and molding methods that would allow translation into cast glass. This particular model started as a foam form covered in layers of epoxy. The mold made from this model began the lost wax process. Water fed angle grinders and diamond hand pads achieved the final finish.
