Mt Bachelor from Hosmer Lake

While kayaking on Hosmer Lake I captured a photo of Mt Bachelor looming over the lake. I then attempted to replicate this in fused glass. To create an impressionistic image using glass requires using many hues and shades of colors. To have a very broad palette to work from I have cross blended stock colors of frit, melted, crushed and made new blends of frit, sheets and stringer. I can choose from over 2000 blends to use just the right hue. Working from a white glass sheet, chipped edges to resemble the torn edges of watercolor paper, layer upon layer of "elements" are added with full fuse firing inbetween the additions
